NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College women's tennis team dropped its opening NESCAC match to Bowdoin by an 8-1 decision on Saturday morning.

Sophomore Stephanie Simon (Wellesley, Mass.) picked up the lone point for the Camels by defeating Rachel Bercovitch at No. 3 singles. Set scores were 7-6 and 6-4. 

Connecticut College (2-1, NESCAC 0-1) returns to action when it visits nationally-ranked Amherst on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
