Women's Tennis Concludes Season With 8-1 Victory Over Ithaca

ITHACA, N.Y. – Senior Angelica Warren (McLeansville, N.C.) won both of her singles and doubles matches as the Connecticut College women's tennis team concluded its season with a convincing 8-1 victory over Ithaca on Sunday afternoon.

Angelica Warren first paired up with sister Mariah Warren (McLeansville, N.C.) to register an 8-5 win at No. 1 doubles before capturing the No. 4 singles spot by set scores of 6-0 and 6-4. Sophomore Stephanie Simon (Wellesley, Mass.) outlasted Caroline Dunn at No. 3 singles, 6-1, 4-6 and 10-7, while sophomore Hayley Zukerberg (Newton, Mass.) blanked her opponent at No. 6 singles in straight sets. Senior Aleksandra Drljaca (East Greenwich, R.I.), who has played at No. 1 singles since her arrival, won her final collegiate match by set scores of 7-6 and 6-0.

Connecticut College (5-8) ended its 2018 campaign on a high note by winning three of its last four matches. The program graduates three seniors and is slated to return more than 10 letterwinners next season.
