NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College men's squash team split its opening matches of the season over the weekend. After dropping a 9-0 decision at Amherst, the Camels regrouped to register a 9-0 win over Boston University.

Sophomore newcomer Kunal Sheth (New London, Conn.) posted the most dominant victory from the No. 9 position against the Terriers by blanking his opponent in all three sets. Freshman Tyler Maguire (Middletown, R.I.) also won his first collegiate match, defeating Julian Lee by scores of 11-9, 11-7, and 11-3 at the No. 3 spot.

Despite coming up short against Amherst, sophomore Billy Fleurima (Bronx, N.Y.) was a bright spot by taking his opponent the distance and nearly completing a comeback. He ultimately lost by scores of 11-9, 15-13, 11-13, 9-11, and 11-8 to Pavan Nagaraj at No. 5.

Connecticut College (1-1) will next trek to Vassar on Saturday, Nov. 23 to face the host school as well as Haverford.
