BOSTON, Mass. – The Connecticut College men's squash team split a pair of matches against Tufts and Northeastern on Saturday. After falling to the Jumbos, 9-0, the Camels responded by recording a 9-0 sweep of the Huskies.
In addition to winning all nine matches, Connecticut College only dropped one set against Northeastern to close out the afternoon. Sophomore Chris Mach (Concord, Mass.) registered the most lopsided victory, defeating his opponent by scores of 11-2, 11-1, and 11-5 from the No. 6 position. Classmate Kunai Sheth (New London, Conn.) also earned a convincing win at No. 9 by marks of 11-3, 11-3, and 11-3 over his opponent, while MD Jawad (New Haven, Conn.), another sophomore, captured the No. 1 spot by scores of 11-6, 11-9, and 11-7.
Connecticut College (8-8) will next travel to Bowdoin to compete at the NESCAC Championships beginning on Friday, Feb. 14.
