Connecticut College 3, Colby College 2 Halsted Lifts Camels to Home NESCAC Win

NEW LONDON, Conn.--Heidi Halsted scored with 3:59 remaining to cap a second half rally and lead the Connecticut College field hockey team to a 3-2 victory against NESCAC rival Colby College in front of 200 fans at the Artificial Turf at Silfen Field Saturday.

Senior Brittany Fitzgerald and sophomore Jen Morgan chipped in with second half scores for the Camels.

Megan Fortier and Ellen Donohue scored goals for Colby College.

Sophomore Becca Napolitano made seven stops in the triumph while Colby junior Michelle Burt finished with 10 saves in the setback.

Halsted and senior Emily Scribner both made defensive saves for the winning side.

The Camels held a 13-to-11 advantage in shots while the visitors held a slim 6-to-5 advantage in corners.
