NEW LONDON, Conn.--The 17th ranked Amherst College men's tennis team earned a 9-0 victory at Connecticut College Friday.
The Lord Jeffs improve their record to 18-7 with a 3-0 mark in NESCAC action while the Camels slip to 1-7 with a 0-3 record in league play.
Amherst College senior Will Rives (Manchester, Mass.) notched his first NESCAC win at #6 singles for the visitors, registering a 6-1, 6-1 triumph.
Sophomore Andrew Scheiner (New York, N.Y.) and Aaron Revzin (Needham, Mass.) teamed up for an 8-4 victory at #1 doubles.
Jonathan Kraiger (Springfield, Vt.) played the closest singles match up for the Camels, dropping a 6-2, 5-7, 10-8 battle in the super tie-breaker at #4 singles.
Josh Suneby (Wellesley, Mas.) and Will Tucker (London, U.K.) kept it tight in an 8-6 loss for the Camels at #3 doubles.
