NEW LONDON, Conn.--The Colby College men's tennis team earned a 6-3 victory against Connecticut College in a NESCAC match played on the South Tennis Courts Sunday.
The Mules improve their record to 10-6 with a 2-5 mark in conference play. The Camels slip to 2-12 with a 0-8 mark in league action.
Juniors Jason Ottomano (Weston, Conn.) and Luke Martin (East Sandwich, Mass.) secured an 8-6 victory at #1 doubles for the Mules. Ottomano posted a 7-6, 6-4 victory at #1 singles while Martin added a 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 triumph at #5 singles for the visitors.
Connecticut College sophomores Joshua Suneby (Wellesley, Mass.) and JC Cangelosi (Estero, Fla.) collected an 8-6 victory at #2 singles.
Cangelosi prevailed in a 7-5, 3-6, 6-4 decision at #2 singles. Jonathan Kraiger (Springfield, Vt.) chipped in with a 3-6, 6-4, 7-5 triumph at #4 singles for the Camels.
