DANVILLE, Va.—The Connecticut College men's tennis team coasted to a 9-0 victory in its season opener against Averett University Tuesday.
Joshua Suneby (Wellesley, Mass.) posted a 7-5, 6-1 victory at number one singles to lead the Camels past the Cougars in the win.
Jonathan Deeter (La Quinta, Calif.) chipped in with a 6-2, 6-0 triumph at #2 while Jonathan Kraiger (Springfield, Vt.) romped in a 6-0, 6-0 decision at third singles.
Deeter and Kraiger joined forces in an 8-3 victory in the number one doubles slot.
JC Cangelosi (Estero, Fla.) and Douglas Butturni (Sarasota, Fla.) notched an 8-0 win at second doubles.
