Box Score SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Katlyn Paiva had a hat-trick to lead the Connecticut College field hockey team to a convincing 5-1 victory at Springfield College Tuesday night.

Just 5:22 later, Paiva scored her second goal of the contest when she collected the ball at half field and out ran the Springfield defense in a foot race to the cage, pushing the Camels to a 2-0 victory.
Directly following a third Connecticut College goal from Bryn MacGillivray (Westwood, Mass.), Maggie Kennedy broke loose down the middle of the field and capitalized on a breakaway to get the Pride on the board, cutting its deficit to two.
At the 24:20 mark of the second half, Paiva completed her hat tirck when she picked up a ball on the right side of the field and found the back of the net to help Connecticut College regain their three-goal lead.
With 15:19 remaining in the game, Amanda Jacobsen (Stafford Springs, Conn.) picked up a loose ball in the crease and fired a shot past Villa to push the Camels' lead to a 5-1 advantage over the Pride.
