NEW LONDON, Conn.--The 11th ranked Wesleyan University men's tennis team earned a 9-0 victory against Connecticut College in a NESCAC match played on the South Tennis Courts today.
The Cardinals improved their record to 11-5 (7-3 NESCAC) with their sixth consecutive win. The Camels fell to 3-14 and a 0-7 in conference action this spring.
Sophomore Tiago Eusebio (Lisbon, Portugal) secured a 6-1, 6-2 victory at number one singles to lead the Cardinals in the victory. Freshman Joachim Samson (Manila, Philippines) chipped in with 6-2, 6-0 win at second singles for the visitors.
Connecticut College sophomore Ben Sachs (Mount Kisco, N.Y.) played the closest singles match of the day for the hosts, dropping a 6-4, 6-4 decision to Michael King (Brentwood, Tenn.) at number five singles.
