NEW LONDON, Conn.—Junior Ben Rosen (Port Washington, N.Y.) secured a 6-0, 6-0 straight set victory at number one singles to lead the 28th ranked Bates College men's tennis team in a 9-0 victory at Connecticut College today.
The Bobcats improved their record to 5-9 and are 4-3 in NESCAC play. The Camels fell to 4-9 and are 0-6 in conference action.
Senior Chris Ellis (Shrewsbury, Mass.) chipped in with a 7-5, 6-3 triumph at second singles for the Bobcats.
Connecticut College senior Daniel Maffa (Lexington, Mass.) and sophomore Will Cannon (Fairfield, Conn.) dropped a competitive 8-4 decision to Bobcat senior Pat Ordway (Falmouth, Maine) and junior Adam Schwartz (Los Angeles, Calif.).
