CLINTON, N.Y. – The Connecticut College women's squash team dropped its opening match at the NESCAC Championships to Wesleyan by a 9-0 score on Friday evening.
Even though the 10th-seeded Camels were shut out, the team was competitive by having four players – senior Elizabeth Varoli (Katonah, N.Y.), sophomore Davis Lemay (Harwich Port, Mass.), junior Jacqueline Chu (New York, N.Y.) and freshman Noelle Giuliano (McLean, Va.) - extend their respective matches to five sets.
Connecticut College (7-9) will continue competing at the NESCAC Championships in the consolation bracket tomorrow at Colgate.
