NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Connecticut College women's tennis team was dealt a 7-0 setback by Division I Merrimack on Friday afternoon.
Two of the three doubles matches resulted in 8-4 outcomes that were won by the Warriors. Junior Meredith Kenny (Scottsdale, Ariz.) and sophomore Brooke Scully (Winchester, Mass.) put forth a strong effort at No. 1 doubles, while senior Alexandra Waldman (East Hampton, N.Y.) and sophomore Allison Falvey (Wakefield, Mass.) fell by the same score from the No. 3 spot.
In singles action, Scully played in the most competitive match. She came up short by set scores of 6-2 and 6-4 at the No. 3 position.
Connecticut College will wrap up its fall slate when it hosts a tournament on Sunday, Oct. 6.
