WATERVILLE, Maine – The Connecticut College women's squash team began the New Year on a high note by downing Colby, 6-3, on Friday evening.
Three Camels won their matches in a minimum three sets to lead the way. Sophomore Birgitta Salvesen-Quinn (Sudbury, Mass.) posted the most lopsided victory at the No. 8 position, defeating her opponent by scores of 11-4, 11-4, and 11-1. Senior Mikayla Waterhouse (Scarsdale, N.Y.) triumphed at No. 7 by marks of 11-9, 11-9, and 11-7, while sophomore Lili Vazquez (Chicago, Ill.) was victorious at the No. 6 spot by scores of 11-2, 11-5, and 11-4.
Connecticut College (6-3) wraps up a weekend trip to Maine when it visits Bowdoin and Bates tomorrow afternoon.
