LEWISTON, Maine – The Connecticut College women's squash team dropped a pair of NESCAC matches on the road against Bowdoin and Bates on Saturday. The Camels fell to the Polar Bears, 6-3, before getting swept by the Bobcats.
Sophomores Lili Vazquez (Chicago, Ill.) and Birgitta Salvesen-Quinn (Cambridge, Mass.) as well as junior Noelle Giuliano (McLean, Va.) picked up wins for the Camels in the earlier match of the day against Bowdoin. Salvesen-Quinn won in three lopsided straight sets at the No. 8 position by scores of 11-3, 11-1, and 11-5. Giuliano triumphed at No. 9 by marks of 11-5, 11-4, and 11-7, while Vazquez downed her opponent in four sets.
Connecticut College (6-5) will next visit Fordham on Tuesday afternoon at 4 p.m.
