NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Connecticut College women's squash team was edged out by Hamilton, 5-4, on Friday evening.
The Camels got notable three-set wins from juniors Molly Carabatsos (North Andover, Mass.) as well as junior Noelle Giuliano (McLean, Va.). Carabatsos took the No. 4 position by set scores of 11-6, 11-7, and 11-6 over her opponent, while Giuliano triumphed by marks of 11-4, 16-14, and 11-9 at No. 9. Sophomores Lili Vazquez (Chicago, Ill.) and Birgitta Salvesen-Quinn (Cambridge, Mass.) also won their matches at the No. 6 and No. 8 spots, respectively, in four sets.
Connecticut College (7-6) will next trek to Amherst to face Wesleyan and William Smith on Friday, Jan. 24.
