Women's Squash Advances to Epps Cup Championship Match With 6-3 Triumph Over Colby

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Junior Lili Vazquez earned a match-clinching win from the No. 6 position to lead the Connecticut College women's squash team to a 6-3 triumph over Colby at CSA Nationals on Saturday afternoon. With the victory, the Camels advanced to the championship match of the Epps Cup for the second straight season.

Vazquez took down D'Arcy Carlson by scores of 11-7, 11-5, and 11-5 to seal the overall win for the Camels. Senior Mikayla Waterhouse came from behind to win at No. 8 in four sets for the second straight day, while Molly Carabatsos posted the most lopsided win by defeating her opponent by set scores of 11-3, 11-5, and 11-6 from the No. 4 spot.

Connecticut College, which is seeded first in the bracket, will look to capture its second straight Epps Cup when it faces second-seeded St. Lawrence tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 p.m.
