Women's Squash Begins NESCAC Championship Weekend With Setback Against Wesleyan

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Connecticut College women's squash team dropped its opening match at the NESCAC Championships to host Wesleyan by a 9-0 score on Friday evening.

Seeded 10th, the Camels most notably got a valiant effort from Noelle Giulliano (McLean, Va.). The junior came up just shy of completing a comeback by dropping a five-set match to Emma Smith from the No. 9 position. Smith edged out Guilliano by scores of 11-7, 11-9, 9-11, 8-11, and 11-9.

Connecticut College (9-10) will next face 11th-seeded Colby in the consolation bracket tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m.
