NEW LONDON, Conn. – After defeating a nationally-ranked opponent for the first time this season over the weekend, the Connecticut College women's tennis team dropped a NESCAC matchup to No. 5 Wesleyan by an 8-1 decision on Wednesday evening in a match which was moved indoors.
The Camels picked up their lone point by default at No. 6 singles. Junior Brinley Bartlett (Malvern, Pa.), who was penciled into the singles match which was not played, teamed up with freshman Meredith Kenny (Phoenix, Ariz.) in the closest dual of the afternoon. The duo battled Helen Klass-Warch and Daniela Alvarez hard at No. 3 doubles before being upended by an 8-5 decision.
Connecticut College (3-8, NESCAC 1-5) wraps up its season when it travels to New York for two matches over the weekend. The squad will first face Hamilton on Saturday morning at 10 a.m.
