Beth Offenhartz Carlson '81 was a dominating volleyball player and inspirational leader on and off the court for the Camel athletic program.

Offenhartz Carlson was a four-year spiker with the Camels. She served as a team co-captain from 1978-1980 and was honored as the team's Most Valuable Player on three occasions. In her sophomore season on the hardwood, Offenhartz Carlson helped lead the Camels to the Nutmeg State Championship.

Off the court, Offenhartz Carlson served in a leadership capacity as the House President for the Katherine Blunt Dorm and as a Hosefellow for the Larrabee Dorm.

A Dean’s List Student, Offenhartz Carlson received her Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction in her field, double majoring in Psychology and Child Development.

Offenhartz Carlson currently serves as the Vice President of Global Talent Development for the Raytheon Company in Waltham, Massachusetts. She previously held similar roles with The Hartford and MassMutual, and carries more than 30 years of experience in leadership roles across a range of business disciplines.

Additionally, Offenhartz Carlson has served as a board member for two non-profit organizations: The Human Resource Planning Society of Western New England and Leadership Pioneer Valley. Offenhatz Carlson recently completed a full Ironman triathlon in Kentucky and continues to train for future events.

Offenhartz Carlson is married to Peter Carlson. The couple has five children: Emma, Scott, Will, Eric, and James.
