Connecticut College Athletic Hall of Fame
Grant Moryan '10 was a key member of the Connecticut College men's swimming class which vaulted the program onto the national scene on an annual basis. In addition to becoming the program's first-ever NESCAC champion in an individual event, capturing the 50-yard freestyle in crown in 2007, he was awarded NCAA All-America honors with his teammates by placing sixth at the NCAA Championships in the 200-yard freestyle relay in 2009, swimming the anchor leg.
Additionally, the freestyle swimmer was a five-time NCAA All-America Honorable Mention selection. Moryan ended his career with eight Connecticut College school records, which included three individual and five relay events, while also becoming a 13-time All-NESCAC selection and a four-time conference champion.
His efforts resulted in the Camels posting a fourth-place finish at the NESCAC Championships and 16th-place standing at the NCAA Championships, both of which were program bests at the time and raised the bar higher for future success.
A History and American Studies double major, Moryan is pursuing a career in finance and is also an avid runner who completed the New York City Marathon in 2018.
