Connecticut College Athletic Hall of Fame
Nicky Jasbon ‘15 made her mark in the pool as one of the best women’s water polo players in Connecticut College history.
Jasbon made an immediate impact in her debut season, earning Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Rookie of the Year honors in 2012. She went on to lead the Camels to CWPA Division III titles in 2013, 2014, and 2015, earning CWPA Division III Most Valuable Player honors all three seasons. The three-time All-American (first team in 2013, and second team in 2014 and 2015) and 2015 Anita L. DeFrantz Award winner finished her collegiate career as the program’s all-time leader in goals (222), assists (128), and steals (253).
Jasbon graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biology in 2015. During her time at Conn, she was a volunteer for the Kids, Books, and Athletics initiative. Jasbon also started an adult water polo club in 2015 in Brooklyn, N.Y. that continues to thrive with 35+ players.
Following graduation, Jasbon first worked as a physical therapy aide at the Hospital for Special Surgery before starting a coding bootcamp and development shop in Bogota, Colombia with four years as a web development engineer. She then returned to the United States, and is now a teacher and water polo coach at St. Benedict’s Prep in Newark, N.J.
