Rita MacInnis Luce '82 is regarded as a pioneer member of the women’s basketball program at Connecticut College. She was the team’s Most Valuable Player for four consecutive years and finished her career with 986 points. 

Her Coach, Connie Clabby, credits MacInnis Luce with putting the women’s basketball program on its feet.

“She did everything to promote the program, not only with her play, but in ger promotional work off the court.”
