Connecticut College Athletic Hall of Fame
A standout in cross country and track & field, Michael LeDuc ’14 is one of the most decorated student-athletes in the college’s history. He was a 15-time NCAA Division III Championship qualifier, a nine-time NCAA All-American, and a three-time national champion. LeDuc won the national cross country championship in 2013 as well as the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the 2013 and 2014 outdoor track & field championships. During his career, he established eight school records, and as a senior, he won the steeplechase at the prestigious Penn Relays against all Division I competition. An outstanding student, LeDuc was also recognized as the 2014 NCAA Division III Academic All-America® Athlete of the Year in cross country and track & field by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), and he is the only Connecticut College student-athlete to be named an Academic All-American three times in his career by the national organization. LeDuc graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in botany before earning an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship and completing a master’s degree in biology from Washington University in St. Louis. He embarked on a career in teaching and is now Chair of the Science Department at New Canaan (CT) High School.
