Connecticut College Athletic Hall of Fame
Damien DePeter ’95 proved to be one of the most prolific playmakers in the history of the Connecticut College lacrosse program. He piled up a school record of 121 career assists (he currently leads that category by 40) and added 56 goals to graduate ranked third all-time in career points with 177. The three-year starter led the squad to three Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Final Fours, twice finishing among the top 16 teams in the nation.
In DePeter’s sophomore season, the Camels earned a 10-3 record and their first national ranking (15th) in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association poll. As a junior, he tallied a school-record 43 assists and finished the season ranked among NCAA Division III players for assists/games (3.1 average).
In his senior campaign, DePeter dished out a team-high 41 assists and scored 14 goals for a team-leading 55 points. The talented attackman earned All-New England honors and was named to the NESCAC All-Conference team for the second time in his career. In addition to representing the Camels in the prestigious North-South Senior All-Star Game, he was an All-America selection.
As an economics major, DePeter earned Dean’s List, Dean’s Honors, and Dean’s High Honors. The 1995 Scholar Academic All-America honoree also received the college’s Brown-Brooks Award as the outstanding male senior scholar-athlete. He graduated cum laude and earned distinction in his major.
