Dwayne Stallings '99 is one of the most prolific men's basketball players who led Connecticut College to its best season in program history. He was most notably the team captain and leading scorer for the 1998-99 program which ranked first in the country, advanced to the Final Four of the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Tournament, and posted a 28-1 record during his senior year.
Stallings established and still holds single-season program standards for 3-point field goals (86) and steals (64) in 1998-99. He is also the program's all-time leader in steals (168), and he finished his career as a collegian with 1,093 points. For his efforts, the guard was named a 1999 Columbus Multimedia Honorable Mention All-American as well as an All-NESCAC and All-ECAC First Team selection.
After graduation, Stallings became the first Connecticut College men's basketball alum to play professionally when he signed a contract with the Westminster Warriors. He has also been inducted into the New London Athletic Hall of Fame as well as the New England Basketball Hall of Fame as a member of the 1998-99 team.
Off the court, Stallings has pursued a career as a financial advisor with a focus on wealth management and retirement planning. The Dean's List student at Connecticut College has been named one of the Top 100 Financial Advisors in America by Bank Investment Consultant magazine.
