Connecticut College Athletic Hall of Fame
One of the most outstanding gymnasts in Connecticut College history, Patricia Moe Andrews '84 was a four-year standout in the balance beam, floor exercise, uneven bars, vault, and all-around competition.
Considered to be solid and gutsy while competing year-round, she received the team’s Most Valuable Performer Award in 1981, 1982, 1983, and 1984. One of the only Connecticut College gymnasts to earn national recognition, she qualified and competed at the 1984 NCAA Division III National Championships in Wisconsin.

A zoology major, Moe Andrews also was a member of the Dance Club and participated in the Dance Department’s annual shows.

After graduation, she did electron microscopy for the Rogers Corporation. She later worked for an agricultural biotech company before retiring to start a family.
Active in the community, Moe Andrews volunteers at her children’s schools, teaches gymnastics to pre-school children at the Ocean State School of Gymnastics in Lincoln, RI, teaches Sunday School, and is on the Board of Directors for her girls’ nationally-ranked synchronized swimming team.

Patricia and her husband, Rick, live in Smithfield, RI and have three children, Allison (15), Melissa (13), and Matthew (8).
